From the moment he first picked up the erhu at age six, Hao Zheng has been on a lifelong journey with music. His prodigious talent quickly earned him a place at the prestigious Nanjing Academy of Arts, where he honed his skills and performed internationally as both a soloist and with various ensembles.

Since moving to Australia in 1995, Hao has become a prominent figure in the music scene. He captivates audiences with his masterful command of the erhu, weaving together a sound that is both ancient and modern. He has been a featured performer at prestigious events, including the Melbourne Festival, the Port Fairy Folk Music Festival, and the Four Winds Festival, and has appeared on ABC’s The Music Deli.

Hao’s unique sound has caught the attention of leading composers and filmmakers. He recorded soundtracks for the Hollywood films The Children of Huang Shi (2008), with music by David Hirschfelder, and The Dragon Pearl (2010), composed by Frank Strangio. His collaborations also include a performance of Julian Yu’s erhu arrangement with members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and the premiere of Stuart Greenbaum’s Translations with the Flinders Quartet.

A co-founder of the Allegro Academy of Music, Hao is a passionate advocate for musical education. He has been a core member of the Australian Chinese Ensemble since 1997, where he continues to create a beautiful dialogue between Eastern and Western musical traditions, inviting listeners into a world where cultures and melodies converge.

鄭浩,澳籍華裔二胡演奏家,被譽為「澳洲自己的二胡藝術家」,是澳洲二胡藝術的代表人物。他六歲便與二胡結緣,並以過人的天賦進入南京藝術小學(南京小紅花藝術團),擔任獨奏演員。他隨團出訪多國,參與無數高規格演出,為其音樂生涯奠定了堅實基礎。隨後他考入南京藝術學院音樂系附中深造,並於九十年代定居澳洲。

自1997年起成為澳洲「中國音樂家小組」的核心成員,活躍於澳洲各大音樂節。他以精湛的技藝和深厚的音樂修養,在2000年墨爾本國際藝術節上廣獲好評,並成功吸引了眾多澳洲本土樂迷。此外,他與墨爾本交響樂團的合作,更將二胡的獨特魅力有效地介紹給了西方古典音樂聽眾。

鄭浩的藝術成就跨越了多個領域。他曾受邀為多部電影錄製配樂,包括好萊塢電影《黃石的孩子》(主演周潤發、楊紫瓊)及《龍珠》(主演Sam Neill)。在室內樂領域,他亦屢有創舉。2019年,他作為特邀藝術家,與弗林德斯四重奏及世界著名豎笛演奏家 Genevieve Lacey 合作,首演了由墨爾本音樂學院 Stuart Greenbaum 教授為二胡、豎笛與弦樂四重奏創作的《譯文》。這部全球獨一無二的作品,已被澳洲廣播公司 ABC Classic FM 錄製並永久收藏。
